Pierre's career is really quite impressive, showcasing a progression from hands-on technical work in industries like boat building and engineering to becoming a key figure in the film industry's prop, costume and model-making departments. His journey began with apprenticeships in pattern making, engineering, and boat building, where he gained experience working on projects like bespoke sports cars, prototype dories, and offshore racing powerboats.

His transition into film started with a junior position at Bowtell's, a model-making and effects company specialising in TV commercials and photography. At this time, pre-visual effects required practical, "in-camera" models and effects, which provided him with valuable experience. As a freelancer, Pierre worked with various companies in the London area, contributing to projects like Spitting Image and Hat Trick Productions.

Eventually, his skills led him to work on major film productions at renowned studios such as Pinewood, Leavesden, and Shepperton, where he contributed to iconic films like Judge DreddThe Phantom Menace, and First Knight. His big break came when he was tasked with organising and producing a large order of props for Titanic. This pivotal moment marked the start of his career in leading departments responsible for designing and manufacturing props, models, and special costumes for high-profile films.

Pierre went on to work on numerous blockbuster films, including The World Is Not EnoughSunshineThe Dark KnightGravityEdge of Tomorrow, and all eight Harry Potter films. His expertise continued to be in demand for major franchises like Star Wars (including The Force AwakensRogue OneThe Last Jedi, and Solo), Fantastic Beasts1-3Wonder Woman 1984, The Batman, and Barbie, to quote just a few.

His career reflects a deep technical mastery and the ability to lead teams in creating visually stunning, practical effects and props that elevate cinematic storytelling.
